Les Transhumances Gîte Noncière

La ferme des Transhumances, it's quite a story....

First and foremost, it's the story of generations of transhumant sheep farmers. It's also the story of a privileged site, overlooking the fortified town of Colmars-les-Alpes, with a 360° panorama of the Upper Verdon Valley. For Jean-Paul, joined by his wife Maïthé, it was a return to his roots.

In 1999 they opened 2 self-catering cottages. Farming and tourism are closely linked, and are organized according to the rhythm of the seasons. Today, the farm is home to a transhumant herd of Mérinos d'Arles cattle.

Whatever the season, they'll be delighted to show you around: the village fortifications and the Lance waterfall are just a stone's throw away, and hiking and snowshoeing trails leave from the farm... Nearby, over 1,000 km of marked trails and the ski slopes of Ratery and Val d'Allos await you. But be careful! The serenity of our landscapes could well be contagious...

* The Noncière gîte is on a single level on the first floor (approx. 40 m2) and can accommodate 3 people

* A living/kitchen room with fully-equipped kitchen and television

* A south-facing bedroom with a double bed (140cm) and en-suite bathroom (sink, shower and toilet) with a view of the mountains!

* The living room (including a 70cm sofa-bed) opens onto a full-width, south-facing balcony with views of the Colmars fortifications, the Noncière and Laupon mountains and the south of the valley

* Garden furniture and private barbecue reserved for the gîte outside

* Open all year round on reservation
