A new private art venue has been open to the public in the Var since June 2023. The Musée du Niel, located on the water's edge of the Giens peninsula in Hyères, is dedicated to painting from the second half of the 20th century, with a new thematic exhibition every season from May to October, highlighting the particularly innovative artistic currents that still influence contemporary creation today.
Four brightly-lit rooms covering 300 m2 of exhibition space enable visitors to discover and understand these avant-garde movements.
To complete the visit, the museum store offers specialized books for art lovers, an art de vivre selection of handcrafted creations and creative notebooks for children. The landscaped garden is freely accessible. The museum's terraces, with their exceptional views over the islands of the Port-Cros National Park, are the perfect place for a gourmet break throughout the day.
