In the heart of the Ecrins National Park, we will first evolve on the mountain pastures of Villar-d'Arêne to quickly find ourselves in a high mountain landscape, surely accompanied by some chamois..

Evolutions in altitude with aerial passages on the way up, possible snowfalls late in the season. Possibility to eat at the refuge (extra charge). Long distance

Duration : 8h30 (5h walk)

Topics covered: life in high altitude lakes, history of the refuges in Oisans, fauna and flora, glaciology

Target audience : All public (+12 years old)

Spoken languages : French, English, Danish.

Material and equipment :

  • To be provided by the participants: 20-25 liters backpack A pair of hiking shoes with semi-rigid sole and high shaft A pair of hiking poles (loan possible) Classic clothing for mountain hiking and altitude (Gore-Tex or K-way type jacket, fleece) Water bottle (Minimum 1liter per person)
  • Equipment provided and/or made available (on request and according to our stocks): hiking poles Binoculars Hot beverage (tea or coffee), chocolate and digestive at lunchtime
