This short morning hike, ideal for families and all nature lovers, will allow you to apprehend the high altitude environment. Moving at the rhythm of our naturalist observations, we will quietly approach the last snow that persists in summer and contemplate the impressive glaciers of the Albaron massif. Exit programmed in August, possible in July with some modifications of itineraries if the snow is late.

Taking place between 2,600 and 2,900m altitude, this off-trail escapade will be an opportunity to discover the flora and fauna of the nival zone. Marmots are easy to spot, but we'll need a little more luck to spot chamois, ibex, mountain hares and maybe even a bearded vulture..

In July, if the high snow persists, the mountain leader reserves the right to modify the itinerary and adapt the outing to the "Chamois and ibex of Iseran" theme.

Departure in August: 7.00 am, Place de la Mairie, Bessans

Easy hike - accessible to children aged 12 and over - Elevation gain: 400m.

Bring: good walking shoes, appropriate clothing, backpack, water, hat, sun cream, sunglasses.
