The Vanoise is the most famous and the most accessible of the national parks, renowned for its fauna and flora. It's a good place to go for a walk to discover its natural treasures. This itinerary with splendid balconies, passing through the heart of the massif, dominates the valleys of Tarentaise and Maurienne. It offers a contrasted spectacle of glaciers and high altitude lakes, between rocky meadows and pastures. Departure from the end of June to mid September.
From the refuge, climb to the Lanserlia pass (2774 m). Magnificent panoramas on the dent Parrachée (3697 m) and the glacial domes of the Vanoise. Last efforts to reach the pointe de Lanserlia (2909 m). Descent by the same itinerary or by the wild combe of the Grand Vallon. Return to the Plan du Lac refuge for the night.
You follow the famous GR 5 which goes up in the valley of the Leisse. At the Croé-Vie bridge (2099 m), the path branches off in the direction of the Vanoise pass (2517 m). The path along the lakes offers magnificent landscape contrasts and a flourishing flora. You pass near the refuge of the Vanoise pass (2516 m), then you start the descent to Pralognan-la-Vanoise.
Day dedicated to the ascent of the petit mont Blanc (2680 m), an exceptional viewpoint on the glacial domes of the Vanoise and on the Grande Casse. It owes its name to the white gypsum of its rounded summit. Meal and night at the Repoju refuge (1720 m).
Climb up the Chavière valley to reach the Péclet-Polset refuge (2474 m). Then, you reach the col de Chavière (2796 m), a small notch in the ridge between the domain of Péclet-Polset and the pointe de l'Echelle, glacial peaks. Descent to the Orgère refuge (1935 m).
Nice crossing in balcony above the Maurienne via the Barbier pass (2285 m), under the Aussois rake (3124 m). Beautiful panoramas on the border summits with Italy. Last efforts to reach the dent Parrachée refuge (2517 m). Meals and night in the refuge.
Last stage, which closes the tour of the Vanoise glaciers. A balcony hike from the dent Parrachée refuge to the plan Sec refuge (2316 m), then to the ruins of the Turra (2360 m) and the cross of the Loza (2377 m). Finally, you reach Montafia (2180 m), starting point of the final descent to Termignon (1287 m). End of the stay around 5:30 pm.
