Palet Pass Refuge

The refuge consists of two buildings:

The main one, made of stone, houses the common room, a 15-person dormitory, the kitchen and the warden's corner!

The second, in wood, has two other 16-person dormitories, a shower room with 2 wet toilets and a large washbasin.

Then, at the rear, there's another "warden" area and the accommodation for the Park's wardens.

There's also a dry toilet.

And a bivouac area with around ten pitches.

During the day

Savoury snacks at lunchtime from 12 noon to 2 p.m., depending on water supply, supplies, available stocks, etc.

Snacks and sweet treats, as well as refreshments throughout the day

In the evening

We welcome hikers on a half-board basis for the evening meal, overnight stay and breakfast, in a dormitory or bivouac. Reservations required.

Dinner is served at 7pm, breakfast between 7 and 8am, dormitories must be vacated by 8:30am.

Refuge opening times

The refuge is completely closed from early November to mid-February, then from early April to mid-May (depending on guarding periods and the opening of the Tignes resort)

It is open and guarded from February to the end of March (not in 2024), then from mid-June to mid-September.

From mid-May to mid-June, and from mid-September to the end of October, it is open and unguarded. During these periods, we are likely to be present at the refuge to prepare for opening or closing!
