Entre Lacs et Montagne" red wine - Domaine du Mont Guillaume

The Domaine du Mont Guillaume covers 4 hectares of high altitude vineyards in Embrun (Hautes-Alpes). Emmanuel and Delphine Berteloot are committed to producing, in Organic Agriculture and at an average altitude of 880 m, wines representative of a privileged territory from local grape varieties.

We are installed in 2017 and we started from scratch. The altitude gives an interesting typicity to the grape and it is nowadays very sought after.

We have chardonnay and a grape variety endemic to the Hautes-Alpes, grown only by 4 winegrowers to date. This old grape variety is called mollard, which means "little mountain" in Savoyard.

We do a lot of local producers' markets, in summer and winter, and we only sell in the Hautes Alpes.

The commitment to the National Park Spiritapproach obliges us even more to blend in and adapt to the local environment, which means that we don't do what we want with the grassing or the buildings, for example. Everything must be respected, encouraged and preserved. Apart from the vineyard, we have to take care of our direct environment.

From now on, people who work in organic and biodynamic methods are at the service of nature, whereas in the past, nature was at the service of man to provide him with the means to sell and produce. We are delighted, in our small way, to be able to transmit this and to participate modestly.
