In Sainte-Rose, join Captain Félix from Nico&Co for an unforgettable educational excursion to the Grand Cul-de-sac marin. Discover the lagoon and its mangroves in 7 stages, including 4 swims/snorkels.
To start with, you'll approach the îlet blanc without disembarking, then the îlet aux oiseaux to observe its inhabitants.
The 1st swim, with mask and snorkel, will take place on a 17 m long steel wreck, flush with the water, which for over 50 years has formed a biotope with a sensational ecosystem full of numerous species.
The program for the 2nd swim includes white sand near the sea grass beds, gigantic starfish and perhaps its predator, rays and my friend the Barracuda.
We then headed for the natural pool: waist-deep turquoise water 3 km off the coast... a dream come true. With lots of little coral reefs all around. Neptune's brains, spirographs, anemones, tree sponge forests and fish are all there.
A 4th swim, in the mangrove in the middle of the lagoon, against a backdrop of white sand and knee-deep turquoise water!
Last stop: the islets of Carénage, a much denser maritime mangrove, where you can observe its inhabitants from the boat.
Bonus: a tasting of homemade planteur or fresh fruit juice.
