This outing is intended for families with children (from 8 years old) and for all those who wish to observe chamois and learn about the life of these lords of the mountains, while spending a quiet moment in the middle of nature with the explanations of a mountain guide. This excursion is offered every Tuesday morning.

Departure to the Encombres valley, to the village of Gittamelon. There, you will enjoy a beautiful landscape and you will observe the chamois grazing and moving during the morning, on the wild and steep slopes, facing the village. Several spotting scopes (you can also bring your binoculars) will be at your disposal near the village, to observe the animals at best with the advice of your guide who will help you to spot them.

Thanks to the telescopes, it is pleasant and interesting to be able to observe the chamois in complete freedom, without disturbing them. You will admire their ease in their natural environment, while your guide will tell you about their way of life perfectly adapted to the mountain conditions.

Departure : 7H00 from Val-Thorens, 7H15 from Les Menuires, 7H30 from St Martin de Belleville to reach the village of Gittamelon on foot or at 9H00 directly to the hamlet of Gittamelon.

Group of 5 to 15 participants.
