Introducing the general public to the discovery of a particular natural environment is an effective way to raise awareness of its protection. This vision has always animated the National Parks. It is also that of TamTam Pagaie. Franck, passionate about kayaking, will bring you his professional eye so that you don't miss the astonishing wealth of the mangrove and the islets of the lagoon of Grand-Cul-de Sac Marin.
Pelicans, frigate birds, mangroves and their fauna will be presented to you in a respectful way, since kayaking greatly limits the direct impact on the environment. Follow the guide, listen to his explanations and you'll understand the importance of protecting and preserving the mangroves of Guadeloupe.
Discovery tour of the Grand Cul de Sac Marin: From the mangrove to the islets, via the lagoon. Franck will accompany you on your kayak trip from Sainte-Rose. You'll set sail for the îlets carénages, where you'll discover the mangroves and the wildlife that thrive there. You'll then head off to the îlet blanc for an introduction to birdwatching. You'll be rewarded for your efforts with a swim.

Equipment required: T-shirt, lycra, swimsuit, cap, sun cream, goggles and water shoes.

The discovery of kayaking was an opportunity for Franck Mélane. During a period of inactivity, he was asked to discover this economic and ecological activity to the school public. As time went by, he began to train to be able to make it his activity.
At the same time, he also developed his knowledge in biology, a field he is passionate about, and more particularly on the ecosystems of the marine environment and the mangrove.
Committed to the promotion of sustainable and ecological tourism, he created his company TamTam Pagaie in 2005 and offers kayak tours in the Grand-Cul-de Sac Marin.
During your excursions you can venture into the heart of the mangrove and see it differently, you can also meander in the different labyrinths in the shade of mangroves. Sail on the shallows and enjoy the marine biodiversity: starfish, sea urchins, sea grass, marvel at the return of birds on the islets or swim near the islet La Biche during a stop.
