Bed and breakfast - Cocon des Cévennes

In the heyday of silk, the villages of the Cévennes were transformed to develop sericulture. Nestled in the heart of the village of Saint André, Béatrice's grandfather built a spinning mill to pull the silk, and tall buildings to store the silkworm cocoons. One of these, still known as the cocoon house, is four storeys high and overlooks the village. A grandiose luminosity fills all floors, giving an exceptional view of the Gardon quays and the 16th-century château.

A library is available to help you discover the history of the Cévennes, learn about the natural environment around you, and enjoy yourself. You can also relax on the large terrace in the shade of the century-old wisteria.

For all your outings, visits and hikes, Béatrice is at your service to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Gourmet breakfast is served on the hydrangea-filled terrace, or indoors depending on the weather. Everything is homemade. Homemade jams, fruit from the garden, daily inspired cakes, cereal bread and homemade flans are all served in generous portions.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and uniquely appointed, with cypress planks, chestnut parquet flooring, slate roofs, pebbles and unique works of art.
