On Reunion Island, get to know Fabien Mondon, guide La Forêt du rempart

Fabien and his friend Jay are both passionate about nature's treasures. Together they propose to show visitors around the Forêt du Rempart.

Situated at an altitude of 1,300 m, this privately-owned forest is home to some of the island's greatest natural treasures.

I was lucky enough to inherit this forest, which covers around ten hectares. My friend Jay and I have set ourselves the goal of restoring it and protecting this exceptional biodiversity.

We'refighting invasive species, replanting endemic species, and raising awareness of environmental preservation through our Spirit of the National Parktour .

More than a guided tour, it's an experience, a journey to the heart of La Réunion, to the heart of culture and the heart of nature that we want to share with people.
