In 1989, Marie-Noëlle and Jean-Luc Fontaine settled on an uncultivated plot of land in the Trois Bassins commune. Through hard work, they set up their farm and transformed the space into a veritable garden of abundance!

Rose geraniums flourish alongside fruit trees. Oranges, mandarins, lemons, plums... for a lovely range of pei products.

" I'm basically a farmer's daughter. My father, an agent for the Office National des Forêts, brought me up in this frame of mind. Here we are, in Trois Bassins, at an altitude of 1 200 meters above sea level, an altitude where my father worked many years ago.

I feel a bit like the daughter of the rose geranium. It's very interesting, because we've inherited a precious heritage; it's up to us to make it known and preserve it. In a way, we are the guardians of this heritage, and this strengthens my bond with nature, which for me is a form of therapy.

I chose to be a farmer, which means being in touch with the land and making the most of it. There are also endemic plants that it's essential to make known, species that only grow on Reunion Island.

This led me to diversify my production with rose geranium. Taking care of the environment seemed obvious to me, hence the importance of obtaining the Esprit parc national. We don't put any products on our plants, we let them grow, let nature take its course and harvest what it offers. Why add anything extra? The most important thing is to take care of what nature gives us! "
