Picnic at nightfall, then stalking to hear and maybe see the stag in full bellow! An unforgettable hike with a Sentiers Vagabonds guide.
As summer gives way to autumn, the stag echoes through the forest with its majestic mating call. Come and observe the intimate life of the stag in the heart of the Cévennes forest.
Starting from the village of Barre-des-Cévennes, the walk takes you through the forest in search of traces and signs of the stag's presence, which is very marked at this time of year.
In the early evening, we'll have a picnic on a bellowing "place" on the ridges, and lie in wait until nightfall, to listen and perhaps...see the stag bellow!

Practical information:
- Meet at 4pm in the village of Barre-des-Cévennes. We organize a car pool from Saint-Jean-du-Gard, meeting at 3pm (8 places available in our minibus).
- Warm clothing and rain gear, snacks, patience and discretion, advice for young people and unconditional smokers.
